Key New Zealand tourism player Real Journeys was named Tour Operator of the Year 2013 at the annual Tourism Export Council conference held in Masterton last week.
The Tour Operator of the Year Award is voted by inbound tour operators who are members of the Tourism Export Council. The intention of the award is to recognise excellence and companies providing outstanding visitor experiences.
Real Journeys Director of Sales Ryan Ingram says being voted Tour Operator of the Year is significant because it’s an acknowledgement by industry peers.
“We pride ourselves in having great industry relationships and working with our partners to provide the best experiences we can for our customers,” says Ingram.
Real Journeys has won this award on multiple occasions previously and has been regularly named a finalist.
“Ultimately it’s the service and experience we provide against some of the world’s most stunning backdrops that sets our business apart,” says Ingram.
Real Journeys has operations from Queenstown to Stewart Island – including the 100-year-old steamship the TSS Earnslaw and world renowned cruises through Milford and Doubtful Sounds.
The company recently announced plans to operate a ferry service across the Narrows section of Lake Wakatipu and was also named preferred bidder in the purchase of Cardrona Alpine Resort.
